After 20 years of practice - in 2020 I decided to complete a 200 hour yoga teacher training program with Asheville Community Yoga. Whenever I try to write about my expernces on the mat my language turns either hyperbolic or cliche, so let me just say yoga is great. I enjoy leading classes to help others find the kind of calm and clarity I’ve been able to find, or just help them find more ease in their body. I currently specialize in hatha flow classes that encourage tuning into one’s own rhythm to engage in a practice that will leave you feeling more energized, connected, and alive.

Upcoming Workshops:

Previously offered workshops: Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a restorative, deeply relaxing, form of yoga intended to help access the place between wakefulness and sleep. In this relaxed state practitioners are better able to tap into creativity, and unstructured thoughts.  This is a great practice to alleviate writers/artist block, or simply relax and restore the mind and body.

We will began this two hour workshops with a gentle asana practice to prepare the body for deep relaxation before settling into three guided meditations punctuated by opportunities to free write or draw.

No previous yoga experience is required. Participants will need a yoga mat or something similar to comfortably lay on the floor.  A blanket, bolster, pillow, pen/pencil and paper may also come in handy.

This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to tap into more free, unstructured creative thoughts and feelings or looking to simply recharge and restore.
